Although I am the one who is writing this blog post, the inspiration comes from Artificial Intelligence (AI). It is probably also the shortest post I’ve ever written.
My partner Steven Healey and I like finding out what AI can do for us, and he surprised me last week with a PDF of my journey from growing up in Germany to working as a German tutor. He asked NotebookLM to make the PDF based on everything that can be found on my website.
I enjoyed it so much, I turned the PDF into a video which you can watch here
I then asked the PDF AI assistant to create a short abstract of this document for my website. This is what I got:

My initial reaction to all of this was “This isn’t me, they’re talking about somebody else.” But yes, it is me. Sometimes it’s good to hear how others – or AI – see me.
So I’m going to sit down with a cup of coffee and a biscuit, enjoy what I’m reading here, and then will continue to think of new ways to inspire you to learn or improve your German.
