Meet Barnaby! My partner Steven and I discovered him whilst browsing the internet. We chatted with him about his approach to life and decided to help him to tell his stories. We chose the graphical novel format with a Beatrix Potter influence.
We also decided to use the stories to teach German in a practical structured way. The books take you from beginning to learn German to an advanced knowledge of the language.
This make them ideal to refer to frequently whilst you learn.
We have thoroughly enjoyed developing the first book from our original idea, we have had our own adventure and learned new skills along the way.

All books will follow the same format as this first one of Barnaby’s perfect broth. You will get one story told three times, so you could read it as a beginner and then again and again as your German improves. Every page also has the English translation.
The beginner’s level features simple sentences and a light brown background for foundational vocabulary and grammar.
Intermediate German learners will enjoy level 2 which uses descriptive sentences and a dark brown background to expand language complexity.
And level 3 is for advanced German learners which utilizes a charcoal background and the simple past tense (Präteritum).
