You expected someone to proof read the signs? Maybe the info they had was wrong so the sign seemed right.

The mistakes were “Ihr”, “wertvoll” (2 mistakes in 1 word) and “Diebstahl”

Love this one. There’s not much room left to get more spelling errors into this sign! Where do you find these entertaining language fails?
Pure chance! We needed to stretch our legs during a break on a motorway service station and saw it. Luckily I always have my phone with camera with me:-)
At least they managed to get the English and French versions just about right … makes a nice change!
Getting the English wrong would have been REALLY embarrassing 🙂
