How often do you practise your German?
Don’t worry, I’m not testing you, but I thought we might like to look at German adverbs of frequency.
So here is a list, starting with the least frequent words first.
Of course, if you practise your German regularly, you might also use one of these words:
Where do these adverbs go in German word order?
They come after the verb. Example: Ich lerne jeden Freitag Deutsch.
But if you start the sentence with one of these phrases, they come before the verb (remember: verb in second place). Example: Jeden Freitag lernen ich Deutsch.
If this post has persuaded you to start learning German again, you’ll need ‘wieder’ (again) or maybe even ‘schon wieder’ ( yet again): Ich lerne schon wieder Deutsch. 😉
So, answer the question for yourself or even post it in a comment:
Wie oft üben Sie Deutsch?
Ich übe … Deutsch.
