I found a few interesting videos on YouTube, some I will share here (but please let me know if any of them stopped working, as I cannot guarantee that whoever uploaded them keeps them on YouTube.)
“The Dead Eyes of London”, original title “Die toten Augen von London” from 1961. Here is the dubbed English version.
“11 Uhr 20” was a 3 part crime series from 1970, starring several German stars with Fuchsberger, including Götz George (my blog post about him: German actors: Götz George
But my favourite video of all those I spotted on YouTube is his interview in English AND German with Diana Rigg and Patrick McNee before their first ever colour broadcast of “Mit Schirm, Charme und Melone” or “The Avengers” as it was called in English.
Have you seen any films or shows with Joachim Fuchsberger?
Interesting. I never knew much about him
I have to admit, that I only really knew him as a talk host rather than an actor. So writing this post was interesting for me, too.
He played the detective in a lot of the Edgar Wallace ‘krimi’ movies, pretty much all the way through their run (over 10 years) – – he’s probably the only regular actor they used who never played a villain, as far as I can remember. He definitely had a lot of charm.
